==Notes==

Muzzy is the only company currently making full exhaust systems for the Ninja 250.
*Before you attack your bike, '''[[Why performance mods might not be good for you|read this first]]'''.

Two Brothers Racing has recently started making slip-on cans for the Ninja 250.  They can be found [http://www.twobros.com/cgi-bin/shopper?search=action&keywords=ninja_ex250&searchstart=0&template=Templates/TBRSearchResult-Simple-KAWA-EX250_SO_06.html here]. SuperTrapp/Kerker makes universal-fit cans, but you would have to figure out how to mount them, and they are priced about the same as a full Muzzy system. Your dealer may have a better idea of what's available than what you can find on the internet.
*If you just need to replace your stock cans, you can usually find some decent used ones on eBay.

:We're really sick of this one. Using an aftermarket exhaust will cause your engine to flow more air, making it run leaner. This means that you will have to adjust your bike's intake if you change the exhaust.

:If you want your engine to last longer and perform better, you'd be well advised to [[I want to improve my carburetor jetting|check the jetting]]. If you don't ''want'' to rejet after changing your exhaust, we're not going to stop you. Just don't come whining to us.

====Cleaning your exhaust pipes:==== WD-40 works well for general cleaning. If you have scuff marks from your boots, E-Z Off oven cleaner will remove them (from chrome cans, at least). Another product that works on chrome is [http://www.mothers.com/products/productcatalog/wheelprod.html Mothers Wheel Polish].
